Pau Lope® Brand Decking is considered the World’s Finest Hardwood Decking, bar none, for as high-graded, defect-restricted, low-moisture-content, and well-packaged of a Hardwood Decking that is available.  Nothing measures up to Pau Lope®.

Wood is a naturally grown resource with many inherent traits that enhance its appearance and appeal.  Pau Lope® grading and allowances reject -or- limit -or- permit various of these inherent traits.  Such allowable traits permitted may include color variation, acclimation movement, seasoning checks, and sound defects not as otherwise restricted from the Pau Lope® grade, with all of these permitted able to be remedied during normal industry-standard application procedures.  Pau Lope® grading allows for a 2% leeway.

Pau Lope® Decking is sawn, graded, kiln dried and packaged as =

  • All Heart All Sides, No Sap, Sap is rejected.
  • Extensively Clear One Face and Two Edges.
  • Roey and Reverse Grain are rejected unless limited and sanded-through.
  • Mixed Grain is permitted, Tigered Grain is rejected.
  • Milling Defects are rejected One Face and Two Edges, such as skip dress, hit ‘n miss, grain tear, and snipe.
  • Kiln Dried to 18% MC max, or less.
  • Dead-Stack-Packed, to prevent sticker stain.

Plastic-Cover-Packed, to prevent outside dirt and moisture.
